Ever wondered how you’d perform in your favorite action movie? Here’s your chance to find out.

The Action Hero Experience is a one-day, five-stage shooting event designed to test your speed, accuracy, decision-making, and grit. Navigate immersive environments featuring vehicles, mock buildings, barricades, and obstacles as you battle your way through scenarios inspired by iconic action films and video games.

Every stage is built to deliver maximum excitement and challenge. Competitors are scored on overall stage time plus penalties, rewarding both speed and precision. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or stepping into your first match, the goal is simple: have an unforgettable experience.

Not an elite-level shooter? No problem. The Action Hero Experience is designed for shooters of all skill levels. Scout, Raider and Tank divisions enjoy a generously high par time while the Praetorian Division is for the elites!

Expect target-rich environments, intense movement, and plenty of adrenaline. Bring lots of ammunition, bring your competitive spirit, and find out if you have what it takes to become the next Action Hero.

Eye and ear protection are required for everyone on the range, including spectators. Friends and family are welcome to attend, provided they have proper safety equipment.

ROUND COUNT
This is a target-rich environment, and you’ll want to arrive prepared.

Depending on your accuracy and stage strategy, competitors should expect approximately:

200-300 rounds per gun – minimum for the day

EXPECT: 1 stage will feature 300 – 500 yard engagements.

REQUIRED GEAR & RULES

Firearms

• Semi-automatic rifle chambered in .223/5.56 or larger (up to .308), with ammunition velocity not exceeding 3,200 FPS. Rifle SLING REQUIRED.
  • Rifles with the capability of FRTs, FRSs, Super Safeties, Binary Triggers, Bump Stocks, Assisted reset, Single Action Release, etc. are not allowed during the match
• Handgun of your choice up to .45 ACP.
• Competitors must supply their own ammunition. Limited availability on-site.

DIVISIONS (GEAR)

We will not have separate divisions for age, gender, or firearm/optic types.

Scout – gun belt only

Raider – gun belt and LBV/LBE of some kind whether it’s A.L.I.C.E/cold war gear or a chest rig

Tank – plate carrier with front and back plates. Weighted plates/ ballistic plates/ steel/ ceramic just must have plates.

Hydration pack or bladder system with 2 liters of water

Praetorian (Elites only!)

The ultimate Action Hero challenge.

Praetorian is the premier division of the Action Hero Experience and is intended for competitors seeking the most demanding test of preparedness, endurance, and marksmanship.

Competitors will shoot the same stages as other divisions but must do so while carrying a complete fighting load and sustainment kit throughout the event.

Required Gear:

• All Tank Division requirements
• All ammunition required for the day’s competition carried on your person in a backpack, day pack, assault pack, or flatpack
• Hydration pack or bladder system
• Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) Must be functional!

Praetorian Requirements:

Plate carrier with front and rear plates required

• All rifle and pistol ammunition intended for use during the event must remain with the competitor throughout the match
• Ammunition may not be staged, pre-positioned, or carried by another individual
• Each competitor must carry a hydration pack or bladder system containing a minimum of 2 liters of water at all times
• A serviceable IFAK must be attached to the competitor’s equipment and carried throughout the event
• Range Boss inspection required at each new stage. Have your required kit
